The Cliff Bay (PortoBay)

The jewel of the PortoBay group, The Cliff Bay sits on a promontory above the Bay of Funchal with direct access to the Atlantic. Its restaurant, Il Gallo d'Oro, has held two Michelin stars under French chef Benoît Sinthon since 2017, with a Mediterranean and Iberian tasting menu built around the island's fish, subtropical fruit and gardens.
